AfriAku ~ Terms and Conditions

1. Definitions

“Package” – refers to the AfriAku Premium Partnership Package.

“Partner” – refers to the organization participating in the Package.

“Conference” – refers to the techO conference.

“Organizers” – refers to the techO conference organizers.

2. Payment Terms

2.1 The Partner shall pay the Package fee of [CA$200,000] within six (6) weeks from the date of application submission.

2.2 Failure to pay the Package fee within the stipulated timeframe will result in automatic cancellation of the application.

2.3 In the event of cancellation, the selected day slot will be made available to other applicants.

3. Package Benefits: The Package includes the following benefits:

• • Complimentary attendance for 40 startups
  • Exclusive sessions connecting startups with investors and partners
  • Keynote address delivery at each conference series
  • Dedicated exhibition pavilion for startup innovations
  • Dedicated support manager
  • VIP access and networking privileges

4. Partner Obligations

Partner agrees to:

• • Provide accurate and timely information for conference marketing materials
  • Ensure startups participating in the Package meet the eligibility criteria
  • Cooperate with the Organizers to facilitate Package benefits
  • Adhere to the Conference code of conduct

5. Eligibility Criteria

Startups participating in the Package must:

• • Be based in Africa or Black-led startups
  • Be less than 5 years old
  • Have a minimum viable product (MVP)
  • Align with the Conference themes and objectives

6. Cancellation Policy

The Organizers reserve the right to cancel the Conference or Package due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, the Partner will be notified promptly, and a full refund will be provided.

7. Intellectual Property

Partner retains ownership of their intellectual property. The Organizers reserve the right to use Partner logos and marketing materials for Conference promotion.

8. Liability and Indemnification

The Organizers shall not be liable for any damages or losses incurred by Partner or their startups. Partner agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Organizers against any claims or liabilities.

9. Governing Law

This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Nigeria]. Any disputes arising from this agreement shall be resolved through [Dispute Resolution Process).

10. Entire Agreement

This agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous agreements or understandings.

By submitting the application, Partner acknowledges that they have read, understand, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
