- DEFINITIONS:
In these Terms, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to OfureA Inc, the organizer of the techO conference. “You” and “your” refer to the attendee, exhibitor, sponsor, partner or speaker.
- ACCEPTANCE:
By registering for, attending, or participating in the techO conference, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
- CHANGES:
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting.
- REGISTRATION:
Registration for the techO conference is subject to availability and may close earlier than the scheduled closing date.
- ATTENDANCE:
We reserve the right to refuse admission or to eject any attendee who fails to comply with these Terms or engages in behaviour deemed unacceptable.
- SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
You are responsible for advising us of any special access requirements you may have.
- INSURANCE:
You are responsible for arranging your own insurance cover in connection with your attendance at the conference.
- PAYMENT:
Payment for registration, exhibition, partnership or sponsorship must be made in full at the time of registration.
- POSTPONEMENT:
- We strive to ensure the accuracy of conference details, including programmes, speakers, topics, venues and dates, at the time of publication. However, we reserve the right to make adjustments, alterations, postponements or cancellations to conference content, format, themes, performers, hosts, moderators, venue, timing or dates.
- We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of any changes, postponements or substitutions by updating the conference website homepage. Significant changes will be communicated via email.
- In the event of a conference postponement, we will provide you with a substitute ticket for the rescheduled date. NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED FOR POSTPONEMENTS.
- REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY:
- Your conference ticket is a personal, revocable license that remains our property. We may withdraw this license and refuse admission to the conference at any time, providing a refund of the ticket price.
- If applicable law grants you a 14-day cooling-off period, you may cancel your ticket purchase within this timeframe without giving a reason. To initiate a cancellation, notify us in writing within 14 days of the contract conclusion date. Refunds will be processed in the original payment form.
- After the 14-day cooling-off period, all conference ticket purchases are non-refundable. Refunds within 14 days are subject to a transaction fee deduction (depending on the original transaction currency). Note that subsidized ticket promotions are non-refundable.
- If the conference is cancelled by us, our total aggregate liability to you is limited to a refund of paid fees, minus any credit card and payment processing fees incurred.
- TICKET RESALE POLICY:
- Tickets are for personal or business use only and may not be resold under any circumstances.
- Reselling or transferring tickets without authorization will void the ticket, and the holder will not be granted conference entry.
- We reserve the right to cancel tickets purchased by individuals or organizations associated with ticket reselling or brokering.
- CONFERENCE IDENTIFICATION:
- Wear the official conference wristband on their wrist
- Display the official conference lanyard with their badge around their neck
- Carry photo identification and display it upon request
- ONLINE SURVEYS:
We may invite you to participate in optional online surveys to enhance our services and add value to your experience. If you participate, your personal data will be processed according to our Privacy Policy.
- VISA REQUIREMENTS:
- You are solely responsible for obtaining necessary visas, passports, and documentation for conference attendance.
- We will provide a Visa Letter to attendees, serving as formal confirmation of your attendance at the techO Conference. This letter is not a guarantee of visa approval and is provided solely to support your visa application.
- If you are not granted a visa or fail to obtain required travel documents, we are not obligated to refund your ticket.
- LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
- You acknowledge that views expressed by speakers at the techO Conference are their own, and OfureA Inc. does not accept responsibility or liability for advice given or views expressed.
- Materials shared at the Conference are for informational purposes only. We do not guarantee their completeness or accuracy and are not liable for any reliance on them.
- To the fullest extent allowed by applicable law, OfureA Inc. shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profits, sales, or business.
- TICKETS AND PRICING:
- Ticket prices for the techO Conference are available on our website.
- We reserve the right to change ticket prices, but changes will not affect already purchased tickets.
- A valid ticket entitles you to Conference entry, but does not include travel or accommodation costs.
- INVESTOR Eligibility:
Investor eligibility is reserved for active investors in startups and venture funds. You may only purchase an Investor ticket if you meet the criteria outlined in the Investor Eligibility Policy.
- EXHIBITOR TERMS FOR STARTUPS & OTHERS:
- Startup packages are available to eligible startups and include Conference passes specified in your order. You may only purchase a Startup package if you meet the eligibility criteria.
- Startups can apply for PITCH, masterclasses, Mentor Hours, and other programs. Each program is subject to availability and criteria.
- Startup Exhibitors must complete their Conference Profile and Startup profile information by the specified deadlines. Failure to do so may result in cancellation or downgrade of the Startup package.
- Other categories of exhibitors must comply with all instructions and directions given by or on behalf of us or the venue management.
- Each exhibitor must obtain and maintain insurance coverage and provide evidence of current policies and premium payments upon request.
- SERVICE ANIMALS:
Please note that we do not allow pet animals, only service animals are permitted at the techO Conference. Service animals are individually trained to assist individuals with disabilities.
- CONFERENCE APP:
To attend the techO Conference, you must complete a Conference App profile, which will be discoverable and visible to other attendees.
- BADGE SCANNING:
Enabling QR code scanning in your profile allows other attendees to receive your contact information by scanning your badge. Scanning is optional, and you must exercise your rights and revoke consent for communications with third parties.
- ACCESS TO DIGITAL PLATFORMS
- Our digital platforms, including our website and mobile app, are subject to these Terms.
- We reserve the right to terminate or restrict your access to our digital platforms at any time, with or without notice, for any reason.
- If your account remains inactive for 2 consecutive years, we may delete it.
- INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY:
All intellectual property rights in our digital platforms and content remain our property or that of our licensors.
- FORCE MAJEURE:
- The Conference may be unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control, including natural disasters, power outages, or labor disputes.
- We are not liable if the Conference is cancelled, rescheduled, or postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.

Your access to and use of our digital platforms and the techO Conference are also governed by the following policies:

- OTHER TERMS:
- These Terms contain the entire agreement between you and OfureA Inc. regarding the techO Conference.
- If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the remaining parts will still be enforced.
- Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not waive our rights.
- You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent.
- DISCLAIMER:
- We strive to verify the accuracy of information on our digital platforms, but make no warranties regarding its accuracy.
- We disclaim all warranties, representations, conditions, and duties related to our digital platforms, materials, information, software, products, and services.
- We cannot guarantee the timeliness, security, performance, or privacy of our digital platforms and are not responsible for any information provided to or taken from the platforms.
- GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION:
- These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada.
- Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved through the courts of the Province of Ontario, Canada.
- INDEMNITY:
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold OfureA Inc. harmless from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses arising from your breach of these Terms or attendance at the Conference. By attending or participating in the techO conference, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
